Virginia Guidi won the IV edition of Michiko Hirayama's Scholarship at Fondazione Scelsi.
She cooperated with prestigious agencies (ETI, Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico, Accademia Nazionale di Danza, Conservatorio S. Cecilia, Conservatorio A. Casella, Accademia Tedesca Villa Massimo). She attended important festivals (EMUfest, Venice Biennale, Milano Pianocity, ArteScienza, San Leo Festival, MA/IN, ElettroAQustica) and famous artists' installations (Allora&Caladilla, Thomas De Falco). She cooperated with many composers moreover performed for many international premieres including pieces dedicated to her. She also performed pieces from the twentieth century repertoire such as L. Berio, C. Berberian, J. Cage, D. Guaccero, E. Macchi, E. Morricone, G. Scelsi, I. Stravinsky, K. Weil. Since 2019 she hold workshop, courses and laboratory on improvisation, extended teqniques and contemporary vocal repertoire and notation (Conservatorio A. Casella, PIMS, Tor Vergata University, Saint Louis College of Music, Conservatorio L. Refice). Since 2020 she deepens the musical improvisation playng with G. Schiaffini, I. Giuffré, A. Sbordoni, C. Riggio, P. Bronzi, F. Placidi, S. Pappalardo, S. G. Graves and A. Granieri.
She sings in Voxnova Italia since 2015 and she founded CumTempora Ensemble and EVO Ensemble in 2017. She cooperated with AlterEgo Ensemble, InDivenire Ensemble, BLOW UP Percussion and “gruppo d'Interpretazione MetaDiapason”.
She graduated in Singing and Vocal Chamber Music at Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome where she also specialized cum laude in Vocal Chamber Music together with Silvia Schiavoni with a dissertation about the relationship between performer and composer in the electroacoustic music. She specialized at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with a course in "electronic music for performer" and at Conservatory of Montbéliard obtain the "Diplôme de concert". She gained a theatrical competency particulary focused on the parisian school of Jaques Lecoq.
She is the curator together with Carlo Caloro of SYNCHRONICITIES: a catalog about contemporay music in relationship with technology and multidisciplinary art.
She has recorded for EMAVinci (2021) and ACEL (2022).
She is councilor at Fondazione Isabella scelsi in Rome.
