Virginia Guidi graduated in Singing and Vocal Chamber Music at Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome where she also specialized cum laude in Vocal Chamber Music together with Silvia Schiavoni with a dissertation about the relationship between performer and composer in the electroacoustic music. She gained a theatrical competency particulary focused on the parisian school of Jaques Lecoq.

She cooperated with prestigious agencies (ETI, Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico, Accademia Nazionale di Danza, Conservatorio S. Cecilia, Conservatorio A. Casella, Accademia Tedesca Villa Massimo). She attended important festivals (EMUfest, Venice Biennale, Milano Pianocity, ArteScienza, San Leo Festival, MA/IN, ElettroAQustica) and famous artists' installations (Allora&Caladilla, Thomas De Falco). She performed in Italy and abroad (Italian Embassy - Washington DC , National Centre of the Performing Arts - Beijing; Italian Culture Institut - Berlin; Auditorium Parco della Musica - Teatro Studio, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Accademia Reale di Spagna, Accademia Tedesca Villa Massimo, Accademia d’Ungheria, Teatro India, Teatro Torlonia, Tecnopolo, GNAM, Macro, MAXXI, Goethe Institut, Casa Argentina, Istituto Giapponese di Cultura, Palazzo Caetani - Rome; Arena Flegrea - Naples; Teatro Metropolitan - Catania; Auditorium Shigeru Ban – L’Aquila; Teatro Savoia - Campobasso; Casa Cava - Matera; Arsenale - Venice).

She cooperated with many composers including: M. Annunziata, A. Blanco Tejero, R. Boccio, E. Calandìn, M. Capuzzo, M. Cimagalli, P. Citera, G. Colemann, A. Curran, D. De Simone, A. Di Scipio, T. Fantasia, P. Gatti, M. Giannoni, N. Giménez - Comas, N. Haering, A. Korsun, D. Lang, S. Lanzalone, G. Lorusso, M. Massimi , G. Nottoli, J. O’Callaghan, L. Pagliei, F. Placidi, T. Rash, F. Razzi, G. Silvi, F. Snoriguzzi, A. Taggeo e R. Riccardi. She moreover performed for many international premieres including pieces dedicated to her. She also performed pieces from the historical twentieth century repertoire such as L. Berio, C. Berberian, D. Guaccero, E. Morricone, G. Scelsi, I. Stravinsky, K. Weil. During ElettroAQustica 2019 at Conservatorio A.Casella in L’Aquila she held a workshop on the voice peculiarities especially in contemporary music repertoire. In 2020 she deepens the musical improvisation playng with G. Schiaffini and the trio “The Empy Bawl” (with F. Placidi , S. Pappalardo and A. Granieri). She has been teaching together with F. Placidi for a workshop about the voice in the electroacoustic music repertoire at Saint Louis College of Music in Rome since February 2020.She cooperated with AlterEgo Ensemble, InDivenire Ensemble, BLOW UP Percussion and “gruppo d'Interpretazione MetaDiapason”.

She founded CumTempora Ensemble and EVO Ensemble in 2017.

She won the IV edition of Michiko Hirayama's Scholarship at Fondazione Scelsi.
